Instrument cooling water flow is controlled using a servo drive connected via 3 wires to TB_PREM (Model Pro). The valve can be switched ON/OFF in Dental unit management of the dental unit. If the water servo drive is disabled in the menu, water amount adjustment for instruments will be disabled (grayed out).
The valve is connected to connector X36 on TB_PREM via 3 wires.
If the valve is switched on in the menu, LED13 (green) is constantly ON.
While the valve water flow is being adjusted, LED9 (green) is ON. That means, if one changes the amount of cooling water for the instrument, the servo drive will adjust it’s throughput. LED9 will be ON while it is being adjusted and a sound of the servo drive being adjusted can be heard. The servo drive also adjusts the hroughput right after picking an instrument up. This happens, if at the moment of picking up the instrument the servo drive is in different position, than set in the instrument screen at the time of pick up. Explained in example: if one uses an instrument, where water cooling is selected with amount of 60% and then places the instrument back to dentist’s panel and picks up different instrument, where water cooling with 30% amount of water is pre-set (memorized from last use), the servo drive can be heard right away, because it adjusts the water througput from 60% down to 30%. Also LED9 comes ON for the time of adjustment.
